MEET SENIOR PASTOR STEVEN BOWEN AND HIS WIFE MEGAN

My name is Steven Bowen and I am the senior pastor of Foundations Church. I am passionate about ministering to the whole family, seeing men be the spiritual leaders of their home, and seeing Christians live out the blessings that come with a Christ-centered lifestyle.

In September of 2011, the Lord spoke to me in prayer to plant a church with the focus of building a biblical community through the family. He gave me the vision for a church where Christians live according to a Biblical worldview, have strong families, and are discipled to be secure in their faith.

My wife, Megan, and I spent the next couple of years praying about the when, where, and how of this exciting call. These questions were answered one by one as we began to seek counsel from the Senior Pastor, Mike Ware, at Victory Church where I had been pastoring for the previous 4 years.

After much prayer, the Lord also made it clear that we were to go back to my hometown of Lafayette, LA.

On March 15th, 2015 we started this exciting adventure of building a biblical community one family at a time!

From 2015 until the present, we have been growing in both number and health. We are blessed to have added dear families to our community and to have many thriving ministries. Our core values are to Know God, Grow in Community, and Go Near and Far. We hope that you will join us for a service here at Foundations Church and give us a chance to introduce ourselves!

Meet Taylor and his wife Beth

Taylor grew up in Lafayette, but in 2008 moved to Atlanta, Georgia. He served at Cobb Community Church and Crossview Baptist Church as Worship and Youth Pastor before God called him back to Lafayette as Foundation's Worship leader. Taylor has a passion to see people worship in Spirit and in truth. He is a relational person who through worship has a desire to not be a leader of songs but instead a leader of people.

Taylor graduated from The University of Louisiana at Lafayette with a degree in Behavioral Science and attended Ten Thousand Fathers Worship School.
Taylor and Beth have two children, Mallie and Griffin.
